Here’s a little clip of the piece I always wanted to learn but no matter how much I practiced, I couldn’t get it because I didn’t have the right technique! I’m using my Roland digital piano as I love it for recording!

Hello! My name is Lohnay Bishoff.

so you can develop the talent you never had time and or money for in the past!

I am here to guide and assist you!

You’ve Always Wanted To Learn To Play the Piano

What is Holding You Back?

I Don’t Have Time

I get it–the thought of adding one more thing to your schedule to drive to each week–taking valuable time away from your family, fighting traffic, and paying for gas.

I’m Too Old To Learn

That is a question that I get every so often. Is my brain too old to learn new things that take a lot of hand and eye coordination?

It’s Too Expensive

Trying to come up with the extra cash each month to pay for a lessons from a qualified teacher also can be discouraging.

I just saw the other day where a very qualified private teacher was charging $500 per month for private lessons. Whew, I’m sure it’s worth it if you can afford it, but that’s a little much for most people’s budgets these days!

I Don’t Know How To Get Started

There are a lot of choices to sift through such as how do I do this?

Do I get a private teacher and if so which one? Do they have openings?

Do I use an app to learn the piano and if so which one?

Do I study Youtube videos and try and piece it all together.

It can definitely be an overwhelming decision?

I Took Lessons Before And Struggled

I’ve taken on transfer students like this many times that were struggling with things like basic note reading, counting and technique skills which was really hindering their progress at the piano.

I Don’t Have A Piano

The good news is that are so many options to fit any budget these days but still how do we know where to start with so many options?

There’s No Better Time Than Now!

We live in the most amazing time in the history of the world--the stars are aligned in your favor (haha)!

Learning The Piano Keeps Your Brain Sharp!

Learn At Home Affordably And Comfortably

I serve Older Beginners who want to learn to play the piano online!

I teach rock solid foundational piano lessons on video tutorials that I have created that will allow you to learn in your pyjamas if you choose.

Play any time of the day and view the tutorials as much as you like.

You Are Never Too Old To Learn

The lessons I teach are based on the Mayron Cole Piano Method sprinkled with a lot of my own personalized touches.

I have noticed older beginners tend to be more committed and more passionate about wanting to succeed in learning to play the piano.

They know that anything worthwhile in life takes times and commitment. They tend to be more coordinated than a younger student.

I didn’t start piano lessons until I was almost 13 years old. My dad was 40 years old when he started taking piano lessons and played until he died at age 79.

Learn to Play Like a Guitar!

I supplement the foundational lessons with supplemental trainings in chords so you can learn to accompany yourself like a guitar!

Seriously not many people know that you can do this!  You can sound amazing in just a few sessions when you learn three simple chords!

Learn also by Rote as well as Reading!

I also supplement by teaching songs by rote. This basically means I teach you to play a song by copying me. You’ll also be guided to read notes you may not know yet.

Master Class Technique To Help You Sound Beautiful!

Several years ago I was fortunate enough to receive addtional training and was able to study for 8  years under a Master instructor in the line of Franz Liszt!  Franz Liszt was one of the most amazing pianists in the history of the world!

I have been able to take my technique to a whole new level and I will be sharing and reminding you of all my tips and tricks a long the way so you not only learn to play the piano, but also how to sound beautiful!

Solfege Training So You Can Learn Transposition Skills!

I also love to supplement my student’s training with Solfege (don’t worry if you don’t understand what Solfege is right now). I will teach you–it’s mind blowing when you realize the power of it –being able to transpose into any key. Again I was not taught this in traditional private lessons!

Affordable Pricing for Top Notch Quality Lessons

What is even more amazing about this program, is the price is extremely affordable for most families budgets!  I also can suggest ways to find an instrument that suits your budget. There are so many affordable possibilities these days that there is really no excuse to get started in fulfilling your dream of being able to play the piano!

Have You Ever Struggled With Any Of The Following….

1. Note Reading

Don’t worry I’ve got you covered. This method moves so gradually step by step.

 2. Technique

You will be introduced to masterclass technique from the beginning to get you sounding beautiful at the piano! Most piano teachers don’t know these special tips and tricks.

3. Chords

This is something that again is pretty easy to learn if you are just trained on it. I introduce this to all my students because I feel like it is just an awesome skill to develop and I wish I had learned it years ago.

I believe I have one of the BEST TOTAL ALL-ROUND OLDER BEGINNER PIANO COURSES on the market! Why do I say that–because there are no learning gaps–you don’t get lost–therefore you learn and succeed!

I want to share my knowledge with you.

“Mrs Lohnay Bishoff has been my piano teacher since I was 5. This piano method changed my piano learning experience! She helped prepare me to compete in the talent portion of the Miss California pageant. “

Elise Pearson

I have taken piano lessons from Lohnay Bishoff for a little over 8 years. Her teaching methods, hands on experience, and book work is the perfect combination of education needed to become an amazing musician. The skills I have learned from Mrs. Bishoff have led me to great places such as accompanying for church, performing in school talent shows and community concerts.

Travis Dean

I am super excited to be taking piano lessons as an adult. When I started lessons with Lohnay Bishoff, I was struggling to read notes and was playing by finger numbers and hand positions. She has taught me the tools to really read the notes!

Traci George

Can I really learn to play the piano online?

I would have said years ago, probably not.  However, I have taken several online courses and I absolutely love being able to hit replay or pause.

It is one of the huge advantages over private lessons.  I’m so serious, I was learnng some new stuff online recently and it was so amazing to go back and watch part of the tutorial because I didn’t get it.  Also it’s absolutely amazing to watch over again what I learned the day  before, because you know what–we forget when we see or hear things only one time.    We need multiple interactions and practice before it solidifies in our brain.  Also there are no time restraints put on how much you learn each week.

I see this over again in when I see my private students each week.  If they don’t practice a new concept the day after lessons, they forget!  The bad part is they don’t get to be reminded until a whole other week has gone by. (Time is money!).

I’m literally so grateful for technology.  It’s so fun to have so much learning available at our fingertips!  Take advantage of it!

Remember you also have access to me personally via email and right now by request can schedule a live mini coaching call with me for feedback.

I really believe you can get a great piano education with my online piano membership!

Why Should You Pick this Course?

I think you will really like the easiness and the gradual learning of the course.

Remember this course teaches you to read the note first not the finger number, giving you a huge advantage when it come to learning to read music!

I have been trained by a teacher in the pedigree line of Franz Lizst so we are going to be learning rock solid technique!

I also incorporate supplemental training in chording and transposition! Most private lessons are 30 minutes a session and there just isn’t time to cover all this material for most teachers.

How long will it take to complete the courses?

It just depends upon how much practice time it takes you to master the material.

I would say most busy adults would complete at least 2 modules a month if not more.

All of Level 1 is ready (over $1500-$2000 worth of private lessons and so much more because you have all of the teacher accompaniments as well) to dive into plus a lot of  supplementary tutorials like Beethoven’s Fur Elise, Ode to Joy and  Moonlight Sonata.  Simon and Garfunkel’s Scarborough Fair, Ed Sheeran’s Perfect, John Denver’s Leaving on Jet Plane, Here Comes the Bride, Amazing Grace, Happy Birthday and much more to come.

Now that all of Levels 1A and 1B are complete, I am in the process of working on Level 2.  Several modules of Level 2 are also ready.  This is where we hit the left hand hard.  A lot of people tell me they quit the piano because they never learned the left hand notes well. That is because most methods move to fast and do not give enough beginning material on the left hand notes.

This membership will continue to grow as I add more courses and tutorials.  It’s not a one time thing–it’s ever evolving.

Check out the main Menu Page to see a list of current available courses currently in the membership.

If you want to learn from the beginning or build a solid foundation of essential music skills, you have come to the right place.

All the other tutorials are supplementary to enrich your experience.  This is exactly what I do in my private lessons.  We follow a core curriculum and then we do several supplementary things to enhance the learning experience!

What if I don't resonate with your approach?

You can cancel at anytime.

I’m confident that you will find some quality lessons here, but if this just isn’t your thing, just email me within 30-days of joining and you can receive a full refund, no questions asked!

The modules currently available if taught in my own home studio would be well over $1500-$2000.

I would hope that you would give it at least 3 months as life really does present its challenges of staying focused on our goals.

I know I wouldn’t have any private students if they gave up after one month.  But also I understand if it’s not for you–then it’s time to move on.

Learn the Greatest Instrument on Earth!

Learning to play what I believe to be the greatest instrument in the world is at your fingertips. Why do I think it is the greatest instrument. For one thing the piano is one of the only instruments I know where you sound amazing all by yourself.  You don’t need backup accompaniments like most other instruments.

You learn how to read both the treble and bass clef. It sounds amazing, you don’t have to blow air through or hurt your fingers pressing strings, haha. Believe me I’ve played clarinet and guitar and hands down, it’s piano for me!

Take action now. You are never too old to start learning! You have the opportunity to learn from an experienced teacher!

You Are Never Too Old To Learn To Play The Piano!

My father started taking piano lessons when he was 40 years old and played up until shortly before he passed away at age 79!  He only took lessons for about a year and then pretty much taught himself after that.

He already played the guitar which was his main instrument which he had learned since he was 17 years old.  He loved to study languages and garden.  He did not get bored in his old age.  He had so many things he loved to do, including the piano.

Even though he didn’t have the best technique, he played for the sheer enjoyment of challenging himself of learning a new song and then just playing it at home for himself!

Give yourself the gift of learning an amazing new skill that will serve you for the rest of your life!

Lift Your Spirit With Personal Development

The things in life that make us the happiest, are not the easy things. They are the things that require time, effort and commitment and going out of our comfort zone. The things we can see progress and growth in.

However, you will not have to leave your comfort zone to take this course! Relax and learn in your own home, but not alone!  Give it a try–you’ll never know until you do.

Treat and challenge yourself to improving yourself, in doing something you’ve always wanted to try!

No need to drive to lessons and pay a small fortune for private lessons.  Learn on your own schedule with an experienced teacher to guide you!

I would love to help you get off to a rock solid start!

I’m a firm believer in this beginning piano course! I have taught it for over 15 years and now it is in a fast track format.

  • The first course I am in the process of finishing will teach you all of the basic piano skills and provide a lot of practical application so you can not only read the first seven notes off the staff around middle C but apply the knowledge!
  • Learn masterclass technique to give you the skills to sound really professional not like an amateur!
  • Learn Beginning Chording Skills to accompany yourself or others singing.
  • Learn Beginning Solfege skills so you can transpose and learn to play by ear!
  • Supplemented with learning songs by Rote.

Note Reading Made Easy

  • This is so important!
  • I would never go back to teaching a method that introduces the finger numbers on day one!
  • Fingers numbers introduced too early, cripples the brain to be a poor site reader.
  • I have transfer student’s who come to me who have been trained to read finger numbers and not notes!
  • This method will train your brain to be a much better site reader!

Technique is Everything!

  • If you want to produce a really beautiful sound at the piano, it’s not about pushing or hitting keys.
  • If you want to be able to play material with ease and fluidity, it’s all about technique.
  • Don’t play mindless finger exercises–they will produce little improvement in skill if not done with the right technique!

Learn chording skills like you play a guitar!

  • I was literally blown away when I realized you only need to learn 3 or 4 simple chords to sit at the piano and sing songs–just like you do when you jam with a guitar! I’m willing to teach this to you.
  • Most teachers do not know how or do not take the time to teach this in their regular lessons. For one thing, they don’t have the time in a 30 minute private lesson.
  • I supplement note reading with chording skills.
